Strategic Design and Innovation culture
Abstract of this article
The Design through methods of Strategic Design is one way to get companies the innovation that they aspire to differentiate from the others. The theme of this research aims to understand how the usage of a Strategic Design methodology contributes to the development of an innovation culture inside an Information Technology company, as well as its influence on internal teams. This subject is weak of researches that substantiate itself in a scientific and committed way. The article presents results that claim that Design, through a methodology of Strategic Design, is an influence on an internal culture of innovation, with arguments that expose it as a vertical role in between the areas. With methods originally from Design, were analyzed responses of interviews made with business key people, besides the crossing with observations and tacit knowledge of the author of this article, which worked as a designer in the company that has been studied. Among the objectives of this study there are, present the results of implementation of Strategic Design in companies, be a dissemination channel of the discipline's culture in the market and thus, assume a supporting role to help and encourage companies that want to start to implement the Strategic Design.
